Beyond Learning: Voices of learners and educators in green transition is a course that complements EAEA’s podcast Beyond Learning. On the podcast, EAEA interviews learners, educators and community organisers about why learning should be at the heart of a greener future, and how it has already shaped their lives and communities. The e-learning course includes additional material about the case studies and topics discussed. The course focuses on adult learning and education with an interdisciplinary perspective, crossing over to other fields that are relevant for learning abut the green transition, such as science, art and architecture.

Recognition of participants’ learning outcomes

For each module, participants will receive a learning badge. A final certificate is foreseen for participants who complete all six modules.

Beyond Learning: Identities is a course that complements the second season of EAEA’s podcast Beyond Learning. On the podcast, EAEA interviews learners, educators and community organisers about how language, spaces, history, community and individual identities shape who we are in and outside the classroom, and how we develop.

 The e-learning course includes additional material about the case studies and topics discussed. The course focuses on adult learning and education with an interdisciplinary perspective, crossing into fields such as migration studies, decolonisation and feminism.

SMALEI Digital Academy

This MOOC will explore the different areas of sustainability in adult learning and education institutions, as defined in the SMALEI matrix. SMALEI is the Sustainability Matrix for Adult Education Institutions, an EU-funded project that aims to improve the sustainability of adult learning and education (ALE) providers and organisations all over Europe and to increase their capacity to contribute to forward-looking societal developments. SMALEI raise awareness about the environmental and climate change challenges and enable ALE to take concrete actions towards sustainable growth. 

The modules are designed to be followed over two weeks, accompanied by case studies, reflective questions and a thematic webinar discussion. The content of each module guides you through the different areas and tools of the matrix and the SMALEI project:

JUST4ALL: Adult Education for a Just Transition

Welcome to the JUST4ALL MOOC!

Objective: This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of just transition within the context of adult learning and education (ALE).
Structure: The MOOC consists of 8 modules covering various aspects of just transition.
Duration: Each module is approximately 2 weeks long, featuring webinars, videos, resources, and forum discussions.
Certification: Complete individual modules to earn open badges. Complete the entire course to receive a certificate.

Participants will increase their knowledge and expertise on the various aspects of social innovation and just transition. Based on their experiences and acquired information, they will be empowered to act for and contribute to just transition in Europe. That, in turn, will increase their capacity to contribute to forward-looking societal development.
